1) Ultimately it is the owner's responsibility to exercise, train and care for a dog. Making sure your dog has the proper social skills, listens well, and is an overall balanced and happy dog will prevent aggressive behavior in any breed. 2) When others ask to pet your dog, make sure your dog is calm and attentive to you. Saying a polite "Just a second" to give you and your dog time to achieve a calm polite greeting when necessary. 3) It is important your dog has proper dogge skills to prevent dog aggression. As a puppy introduction to others is easy as most adult dogs will not harm a puppy. This is an important stage in developing dogge skills. Practice and training is the key. 3) A stud dog or dog not yet neutered can and often will have aggressive moments with other male dogs. Especially if a female dog is present. This can be controlled with proper training also, but vigilance on your part is required. We recommend if your dog is simply your family companion to have him/her spayed or neutered. 4) Never take your female dog in heat to an area where many dogs are playing, training, or showing. This may unintentionally cause disruption and aggressive behavior with other and between other dogs.

1) Non-Aggressive but Prepared - An Olde English Bulldogge is naturally protective of those he or she loves. Gentle and sweet, with laughing faces and total devotion to their families and loved ones is their greatest charm. This devotion and love will lead to a protective attitude if aggression, or intent to harm is received.
2) An Olde English Bulldogge generally will not back down from an aggressive dog. We call it the "Say What" moment. Watching what attitude any dog has when approaching your OEB is very important, turning away from any dog confrontation is best. 3) We have observed some Olde English Bulldogge females in heat will become testy with short little bursts of aggression toward other dogs. We call it Dogge PMS. We recommend if your dog is simply your family companion to have him/her spayed or neutered.
