Our Dogface Olde English Bulldogges are raised on our farm with our family. Each OEB has a unique personality but their basic loyalty to family and outgoing disposition is the same. And after 18 years specializing in only Olde English Bulldogges, they still consistently amaze and amuse us. Many of our most precious memories include one or a number of our best friends. And they do everything with us, from camping and swimming, to just relaxing at home. Just being next to you is an Olde English Bulldogges greatest joy. Dogface Kennels was founded 30 years ago. We have had a number of different bully breeds from the American Bulldog (Johnson lines) to American Stafford shire Terrier. And then the moment of love came, and it was love at first sight with an Olde English Bulldogge (Hermes lines). That was 18 years ago now and we have never looked back. We had found the dog for us. A breed with that "tough guy look", great expressive face, gentle and protective with children, agile and capable of keeping up with them. All that and still a breed looking for calm and cuddles when ever they can. We raise our Dogface Bulldogges with a family in mind. Each and every puppy is socialized with us, our children, our grandchildren and other Bulldogges both puppies and adults. At any time you will find 6 to 10 Dogface's, of various ages and gender, exploring, playing and following us on the farm. Why? We feel it is very important that each puppy has a good start on his/her people and dog skills. We work on puppy manners - and a few basic commands. Puppy manners include working on: no nipping at faces, fingers or toes; chewing on appropriate toys and not other things; lots of outside time to go potty; encouragement to come, cuddle, and love. Commands are very basic such as "no", "stop", "play nice", "go potty". Beware, it is hard to say no to those Bulldogge expressive faces and eyes.

Olde English Bulldogges do best with good exercise but do not require long runs, positive reinforcement works well as they love to please you, patients at times when he/she decides to be a "stubborn bulldog", a soft place to sleep as they do have a bit of a "creature of comfort" in them, and love with a touch of being spoiled is Bulldogge heaven. An OEB's protective, watchfully nature is tempered with an intelligence and a basically friendly attitude. Their charm and hearts are worn on their "sleeves", often expressing their displeasure with you by hurt full looks and a pretense of ignoring you. They love to be with you, where ever you decide to go. They do well with both individuals and families with children. We do our best to match our puppies individual personalities and temperaments to each family/individual and welcome information on just what you are looking for in a new family member- CONTACT US. Our breeding program looks first and foremost to health, our 1st goal is no puppy leaves before he/she is ready for a home. Next we look at shape and form, does this dam or sire have the qualities we look for, the short wide stance, thick legs, wide head, expressive face and eyes, strong in the hips and barrel chested, proportional? Finally and maybe most important to a potential family environment is their temperament. Our goal there is the loving, loyal, confident Bulldogge who fears nothing, and is willing to be everyone's best friend. All you need to do is

Our Dogface's have become wonderful friends and family companions for years now - see our latest customer updates. (updated 07/01/09) We have seen a few become helpful service dogs - from cadaver dogs to therapy dogs at retirement homes, hospitals and at home. The latest to qualify for training is ZeeZee. A wonderfully happy dogface owned, loved by and helping one of our heroes - A Veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States of America..
We believe active participation in education of and showing Olde English Bulldogges is important to the continued improvement of our beloved breed. Toward that end we have given Dog Breeding speeches in High Schools, been active in judging OEB conformation shows in The Netherlands, and have more recently joined the ranks of showing dogs here in the United States.
